Maharashtra-Based NGO United Global Federation India (UGFI) Launches Pincode-Based Animal Emergency Response Network, Saves 1000+ Animals

Maharashtra: In a major step towards strengthening animal rescue infrastructure across Maharashtra, United Global Federation India (UGFI), under the leadership of Mr. Durgesh Vishnu Bankar (Chairman and Managing Director) along with Mr. Vishal Santosh Nawle (Director) and Mr. Gyaneshwar Baluba Susar (Director), has launched an innovative initiative known as the Animal Emergency Response Force (UGFI-ERF).

The rescue operations under this initiative are led on the ground by Rescue Team Heads Mr. Salman Shaikh and Mr. Vaibhav Lakhole, who play a crucial role in coordinating emergency responses and managing field-level rescue activities.

This initiative is designed to provide fast, organized, and reliable assistance to injured and distressed animals through a unique pincode-based rescue mapping system.

With rapid urbanization, expanding road networks, and increasing human activity, animals are frequently exposed to accidents and life-threatening situations. Every day, animals are found injured on highways, city roads, and public spaces. While many citizens are willing to help, a lack of proper information and immediate contact with rescuers often leads to delays in rescue efforts. Recognizing this gap, UGFI has developed a structured and practical solution that connects people directly with nearby rescuers.

The Animal Emergency Response Force operates on a simple yet highly effective model. Each area across Maharashtra is mapped according to its pincode, and a dedicated list of local rescuers and volunteers is assigned to that specific region. In case of an emergency, such as spotting an injured animal on the road, individuals can enter the pincode of the location and instantly access the contact details of nearby rescuers.

This enables direct communication with the closest available responder, ensuring that help reaches the animal without unnecessary delay.

This pincode-based system significantly reduces response time and removes confusion during emergencies. Instead of searching for contacts or relying on uncertain sources, citizens now have a clear and immediate way to take action. Whether someone is traveling on a highway or walking through their locality, the system empowers them to respond quickly and responsibly.

According to United Global Federation India, the organization has successfully rescued more than 1000 animals through this mapping-based response system. These rescues include animals injured in road accidents, stray animals in critical condition, animals trapped in unsafe environments, and cases requiring urgent medical intervention.

The organization highlights that timely response, local coordination, and strong on-ground leadership have played a crucial role in achieving these results.

A key strength of the UGFI-ERF initiative is its focus on responsible and legally compliant rescue operations. UGFI ensures that all activities are carried out within the framework of forest and animal welfare regulations. By following proper guidelines and coordinating with concerned authorities, the organization maintains a balance between immediate action and legal responsibility.

This approach not only ensures the safety of animals but also builds trust with official departments and stakeholders.

Currently active across multiple regions in Maharashtra, the Animal Emergency Response Force is steadily expanding its network. By integrating pincode-based mapping, local volunteer participation, and direct contact accessibility, UGFI is building a reliable and scalable rescue system that can function efficiently across both urban and rural areas.

Beyond rescue operations, the initiative is also empowering citizens. Many people come across injured animals but feel helpless due to a lack of knowledge or resources. The UGFI-ERF system addresses this issue by providing a simple and accessible solution. With just a pincode, any individual can take responsibility and contribute to saving a life.

This transformation from helplessness to action is one of the most impactful aspects of the initiative.

The organization also aims to strengthen community involvement by encouraging more volunteers to join the network. By building a strong base of trained rescuers and aware citizens, UGFI is creating a system where help is always nearby and response time is minimized.

Looking ahead, United Global Federation India plans to expand the pincode-based mapping system across all districts of Maharashtra and eventually to other states across India. The organization also aims to increase the number of trained rescuers, improve emergency response coordination, and promote awareness about responsible animal rescue practices.

United Global Federation India is a Section 8 registered NGO. To explore or access the Animal Emergency Response Force (UGFI-ERF), visit the official website: www.unitedglobalfederation.org and navigate to the ERF section.

With over 1000 successful rescues and a continuously growing network, the Animal Emergency Response Force represents a structured and impactful approach to animal welfare. It demonstrates how technology, planning, and community participation can come together to create a system that saves lives.

United Global Federation India believes that no injured animal should be left without help. Through the UGFI-ERF initiative, the organization is not only providing a solution but also building a movement where every citizen has the power to act.
